Before your shoot

A Few Things to Remember Before Your Photoshoot

Hair/Make-Up

My services don’t include a MUA, so come make-up ready (if you prefer). However, I would be happy to recommend some make-up artists or hair stylists. If doing your own makeup, please avoid heavy foundation and overly long false eyelashes.

Uncomfortable in front of the Camera? Same.

There’s a reason I’m behind the camera and not in front of it, and I understand how awkward or foreign it can feel! I still strive to make everyone comfortable, so let me know ahead of time if there's anything I can do to help. For example, you can send me your favourite playlist, share your go-to coffee order, or let me know if you want to bring a friend. We can also arrange a video call or meet in person beforehand if that would help. Don’t hesitate to communicate your needs! You'll warm up to the camera, and often, the best shots come towards the end.

Outfits

During our consultation call, we’ll discuss wardrobe options to see what you're most comfortable with and which colours look best on you. I love fashion and would be happy to suggest options or find items. I always recommend bringing a few choices!

Not Photogenic? Unlikely.

I’ll ensure we capture the best angles, but feel free to tell me what your good side is ;)

Retouching

Photos will be retouched, but I don’t believe in heavy retouching until you’re unrecognizable. I embrace natural beauty and aim to enhance rather than alter. I will remove pimples and blemishes while maintaining your unique look.
